Location Pin-Pointing

One of the main problems most of us face, and try to solve, is improving our task management, which leads to better efficiency and in turn, more free time.

One such app, that can turn your smart phone into a smart, location-aware task assistant, is MarkO.

Its main purpose is to remind you of your task in the right place, at the right time by sending you a friendly reminder.

The main feature is location-awareness, and location pin-pointing. 

Meaning, once you enter a task, you also select the location where you can/plan to finish it. You can choose a category, like "pharmacy", or select a concrete spot like "Joe's Pharmacy".
And since MarkO derives location from Google maps, there are often moments when you feel frustrated because you can’t find your specific location on the map. One solution to that is logging in on Google, and then pinning the location yourself - a long, time consuming process because of the time it takes for Google to approve it. But, that one's no good.  

That’s why we decided to fix this problem and implemented the custom pin-point location feature which allows you to set a location for your task that you is not set on the map. You can select any place on the map by simply pressing and holding your finger for a few seconds on the desired spot, and voila! Your task location is set!

This way, MarkO will know the task you have, and where you can complete it, regardless of whether the location was on Google maps or you custom created it. Now, you can select that small corner store where you buy your groceries on the way home, the coffee shop next to your office, or your favourite spot in the park.

And when you need to a birthday gift for your best friends from that small gift shop where she those beautiful silver earings, you can set that too! MarkO will remind you with a notification saying e.g. “Hey buddy, buy birthday gift for Jenn” once you get close to the shop on West 50th.

So there you go! 

Now, there's no excuse to miss a task cause you passed by a place and couldn't remember what you were supposed to do there.
